2026 Foundation Directory

The Montana Foundation Directory features information from over 40 foundations that fund in Montana and responded to our requests for information. These funders include community foundations, corporate giving programs, and private foundations. First released in 2022, the Montana Foundation Directory is one of MNA’s most viewed and requested publications. We hope this resource increases access to funding opportunities in Montana.  

This update includes expanded information on funders, easier ways to search for funding opportunities that fit your organization, and a highlight on funders that prioritize rural and underserved communities. 

In addition to the foundation profiles, this publication includes a set of practical appendices designed to support nonprofits beginning the grant-seeking process. These resources draw on data, industry research, and experience from grant writers to help nonprofits strengthen their readiness, strategy, and grant proposals and to foster more effective funder–grantee relationships.
