Organization Overview
Bear Grass Performing Arts (BGPA) is a nonprofit founded in the Flathead Valley that aims to do the following: bring high-quality performing arts education opportunities to the children and youth of the Flathead Valley; provide quality music educators the chance to further their positive impact on both the fine arts community and youth in the Flathead Valley; and, bring performances that engage and inspire community members, growing the audience and support for quality youth performing arts.
Established in 2024, BGPA's programming began with the Flathead Valley Youth Chorus (FVYC). Serving students in grades 3-6, this choir found immediate success with over 40 students participating in both of its first two seasons. Two semester concerts are shared each season - one in November and one in April. In its third season of existence (2026), BGPA launched its second youth choir. We now offer FVYC Nova, for grades 2-4, and FVYC Rhapsody, for grades 5-7. We look forward to our continued work expanding performing arts opportunities in the Flathead Valley.
