Organization Overview
Montana Correctional Enterprises (MCE) provides meaningful education, work experience & transition services. A bureau of the Department of Corrections, we're headquartered at MT State Prison in Deer Lodge, providing daily training for over 350 inmates their, plus at the MT Women's Prison in both Billings & the DIC facility in Boulder.
MCE provides on-the-job training & work experience to inmates in industry, vocational & agricultural programs. Inmates training & working in these programs develop marketable job skills, a strong work ethic & self-esteem through a feeling of pride in accomplishments. In addition, inmates earn a wage to pay for personal items, pay child support, alimony, victim restitution & court-ordered fines, & to save for their release.
